The close-up views of the Himalayas, almost in your face, will be a breathtaking sight you will never forget. As the first sunrays of the day hits the summit of the 800ers mountains like Mt. Dhaulagiri and Mt. Annapurna as well as other less than 8000 meters tall mountains including Annapurna South, Machhapuchhare(Fishtail), Lamjung Himal, Nilgiri, Himchuli and others you will be stunned by the sheer beauty of the mountains.

Beyond mountains, you will also enjoy hiking in the beautiful rhododendron forest and terraced fields encountering the daily life of the ethnic people and will be amazed by the genuine hospitality bestowed upon you by the people. (The blooming season of rhododendron is spring. The whole forest and the trail you walk will be filled with the beautiful red, pink, maroon and different coloured flowers. )

Your trek will typically begin after visiting the historical and cultural landmarks in Kathmandu. The next day you will drive to Pokhara and overnight will be at the hotel in the beautiful lake city. Next following day you will drive to Nayapul. From Nayapul your will start trekking to one of the biggest and beautiful Gurung village, Ghandruk. All around the trail, you will meet the friendly people of the foothills, tilling the fields with their oxen-drawn ploughs and sharing your path with their cattle and flocks of multicoloured goats.

You will follow one of the well-trodden routes through lush green rhododendron forest and diverse ethnic settlements of Ghorepani- Poon hill Tadapani – Ghandruk hiking route exploring the diverse ethnic groups on the backdrop of the magnificent Himalayas. This trek is relatively easier as well as the most rewarding trek than other treks done is Nepal.

It is in fact the second largest Gurung village in Nepal and is a confusing cluster of closely-spaced, slate-roofed houses. There are neatly terraced fields situated both above and below the town. It is wonderfully easy to get lost in the network of narrow alleyways while trying to trek through the village.
